Happy Valley and Upper Happy Valley rank at the top of the popularity list in Lafayette for luxury homes. This is also the most prestigious address, comparable to Orinda's Country Club Area. Many lots are quite large, 1 acre+/- and there are many in the multi-million $ ranges. The area has a country, almost "vacation" setting. Many older homes here have been torn down and totally rebuilt. The area is mostly flat and majestic oak trees are in abundance. It is a beautiful area. One client of mine remarked that this looked like someplace she’d like to come to for a vacation.

Many lots are an acre or more. Builders dream of finding the “tear down” here on a prime, flat acre lot. In many instances, a flat acre lot can be priced near a million $ or above.
