The subdivision was built in the early 70’s and went up quickly as the demand for housing grew in the Moraga area. Homes then ranged in the low $125,000+/- range and now sell at $500,000-$900,000+/-. Campolindo's popularity is due to the close proximity to Campolindo High School, Lafayette, the freeway and BART. Owners become members of the small swim club at the entrance of the subdivision on Campolindo Drive. The mandatory dues are about $340 (2002) a year. The Club features recreational swimming and swim teams for children and teens. Another feature of the area is the new Soda Swim Center located at Campolindo High School.
