Orindawoods is one of Orinda's
most popular locations for buyers desiring low maintenance, a
homeowner's
association set-up, convenient bus transportation to BART, swim and
tennis facilities, and a very close-in location just minutes from San
Francisco. The development of 265 homes consists of
attached
townhome style properties plus attached patio homes and detached
single-family homes. There is an active homeowners association charged
with enforcement of the local CC&R's and maintenance of the much of
the grounds and open space areas. The property covers about 188 acres
with many greenbelt areas. Owners here love the convenience of
being close to town, the freeway and BART and the low maintenance of
their homes.
An Orindawoods BART bus runs regularly picking up shoppers or business
people near their home and delivering them down the hill to the Orinda
BART station and the short trip to San Francisco, Oakland or in the
opposite direction to Walnut Creek and beyond.
The Orindawoods complex includes an excellent tennis
facility shown on the left. There are tennis courts, a pro shop, locker
room, sauna, and pool. There is also a meeting facility called Woodhall
overlooking a small lake.

Below are some examples of homes in the area. Many of the homes have brown
shingle exteriors, and most have two car garages. The attached townhomes
were built in the late late 1970's and early 1980's, the patio homes in
the late 1980's.

Many
areas of Orindawoods share lovely views of the Orinda hills and the
beautiful sunsets.
